Determination & Keeping the faith
Mag Dalé has been singing and songwriting since a very young age - from community choirs, to local bands,
as an acoustic duo with guitarist, and more recently as a singer-songwriter.
Her musical influences include: Sarah McLachlan, Cat Stevens, Alicia Keys, India Arie, Roy Orbison, Bill Withers, and Ella Fitzgerald; gospel and the Caribbean music of her parents; as well as the classical composers Schubert, Chopin and Mendelssohn.
With a voice described as "incredibly rich and soulful", Mag Dalé's songs are spiritual and inspirational,
about overcoming everyday life struggles, and being grateful for life's beautiful moments. Her songs are like a musical cup of tea that warms you on a wintry day – soothing and soulful, with a touch of stirring nostalgia; and at the same time lifting your spirits and pointing the way towards hope for those who have lost it; a gentle, encouraging voice speaking to your soul.
Her calling – to make a joyful noise for faith, hope and love; to sing and make music from the heart that will inspire others to not give up in the face of adversity. She especially hopes to inspire women who struggle with infertility and reproductive issues, like she has, so that they keep the faith and not lose hope, like Hannah from the Bible. Her songs "Final Mile" and "(I won't stay) Broken" are dedicated to all the hopeful Hannahs out there. You are not broken and you are not alone!
With her spiritually influenced and inspirational brand of soft, vocal-centric soul, she wants to give a musical testimony so others can take heart: "God has helped me so much throughout my life; has blessed me so much - whether it was getting through the heartache of infertility, the miracle of our adopted son, the relationships and people who guide me, overcoming so many painful areas in my life - my heart is overflowing with joy. I have to thank and praise Him - and share that news with others - through my songs". So don't give up! And hold onto faith and hope - it's a hope that does not disappoint.
